The Forestland Portfolio, managed by Ingka Investments, represents a vital pillar within the Ingka Group. Ingka Investments is now seeking to recruit an IT Solution Owner for Forestry Systems.

Your key responsibilities:
- pārvaldīt un apsaimniekot uzņēmuma meža īpašumus Centrāllatvijas reģionā, ievērojot ilgtspējīgas meža apsaimniekošanas principus;
- organizēt darbu mežā un pārzināt uzņēmuma meža īpašumus noteiktajā teritorijā;
- sagatavot cirsmu fondu;
- plānot, organizēt un uzraudzīt mežizstrādes procesu;
- aktualizēt meža inventarizācijas datus;
- attīstīt un uzturēt sadarbību ar pakalpojumu sniedzējiem;
- uzraudzīt vides aizsardzības un darba drošības prasību ievērošanu;
- identificēt potenciālos riskus un savlaicīgi veikt pasākumus to novēršanai;
- nodrošināt darba izpildi atbilstoši LR normatīvajiem aktiem un uzņēmuma iekšējām prasībām;
- uzraudzīt meža infrastruktūras objektus.
This role aims to develop a forestry asset management solution for the Baltic countries initially and then to other countries. This role will also be responsible for GIS analysis, as well as the creation and maintenance of GIS dashboards. This role will implement the required solutions with the help of external service providers, the internal business team, and the internal IKEA IT organization. The goal is to provide the best solution to support the business to gain operational efficiency and to provide the best business analytics to support business decisions.

- izglītība mežsaimniecībā;
- praktiska pieredze meža īpašumu apsaimniekošanā;
- B kategorijas autovadītāja apliecība un gatavība ikdienā apmeklēt meža īpašumus;
- pieredze meža inventarizācijas veikšanā tiks uzskatīta par priekšrocību;
- atbildības sajūta, spēja patstāvīgi organizēt darbu un efektīvi sadarboties komandā;
- labas prasmes darbā ar MS Office programmām;
- zināšanas specializētās meža apsaimniekošanas programmās, piemēram, GIS, LVM GEO u.c., tiks uzskatītas par priekšrocību;
- vēlme nepārtraukti attīstīties, dalīties pieredzē, uzņemties iniciatīvu un atbildību, kā arī ar savu profesionālo ieguldījumu veicināt Ingka Group attīstību.
- Collaborate with country and operations managers to gather, document, and validate requirements for the forestry asset management solution
- Develop and maintain a prioritized backlog of features and enhancements, based on business value and stakeholder input
- Contribute towards the design of end-to-end (E2E) solutions, ensuring that both business and technical requirements are aligned from initial concept to final implementation
- Coordinate between business users and development/vendor teams, ensuring clear understanding of requirements, priorities, and solution goals
- Support software maintenance, including monitoring, investigating, and documenting bugs or system issues
- Conduct and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), backlog refinement, and specification writing to ensure solution readiness
- Ensure high quality, usability, and a positive user experience in the solution, and support smooth adoption through training and guidance
- Create and implement operational reports and dashboards to help managers and coordinators monitor and improve their operations
- Track and measure solution success, using metrics like adoption, usage, system performance, and user satisfaction
- Perform basic data and spatial (GIS) analysis, including running queries, identifying data errors, and conducting spatial assessments
We expect you to have:
- Academic Qualification in Forestry or IT
- Working experience in Solution implementation in Forestry
- Solid understanding of forest management practices, sustainability challenges, and operational workflows
- Proficiency with GIS tools (e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS) and experience with spatial data formats and analyses
- Ability to perform data queries, validation, and basic troubleshooting using SQL or similar scripting
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage, align, and manage expectations across multi-disciplinary teams
- Good understanding of data flow, APIs, and integration of forestry systems with enterprise tools
- Experience managing digital solution roadmaps, user requirements, and feature prioritization
- Proven ability to lead solution rollouts, deliver training, and drive adoption in operational teams
- Familiarity with BI/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) to build insights for operational and strategic decisions
- Strong understanding of the forestry industry, including its challenges and opportunities, as well as a good grasp of business principles and practices
