A client of WorkingDay Latvia – financial institution with a strong technology focus, invites a hands-on Lead Back-End Developer to join its team in Riga.

You have:
- vairāk nekā 5 gadu pieredze servera puses izstrādē, ideālā gadījumā ar Node.js. Vēlama ir arī pieredze ar citām valodām, apvienojumā ar spēcīgu motivāciju pāriet uz Node.js;
- pieredze ar liela apjoma kritisku darījumu apstrādi;
- pieredze ar autentifikāciju, autorizāciju, datu šifrēšanu un citām programmatūras drošības metodēm;
- plaša pieredze ar mākoņdatošanas programmatūras arhitektūru;
- stabila pieredze sistēmu arhitektūrā, tostarp sistēmu projektēšanā, drošībā un integrācijās sarežģītu sistēmu veidošanai;
- laba izpratne par DevOps principiem un praksi;
- spēja uzņemties atbildību par esošajām sistēmām un izstrādāt skaidru pārejas un uzlabošanas plānu;
- profesionālas angļu valodas zināšanas;
- spēcīga biznesa procesu izpratne un analītiska domāšana;
- labas komunikācijas prasmes un komandas spēlētāja/-as domāšana.
- 5+ years of experience in server-side development, ideally with Node.js. Experience with other languages is also welcome, combined with a strong motivation to transition to Node.js
- Experience with high-volume critical transaction processing
- Experience with authentication, authorization, data encryption and other software security methods
- Extensive experience with cloud-native software architecture
- Solid experience in system architecture, including system design, security, and integrations for building complex systems
- Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices
- Ability to take ownership of existing systems and develop a clear transition and improvement plan
- Professional working proficiency in English
- Strong business process understanding and analytical mindset
- Good communication skills and a team player mindset

Pienākumi:
Responsibilities:
- vadīt kritisku back-end komponentu izstrādi, nodrošinot augstu uzticamību, drošību un veiktspēju regulētā vidē jauniem izstrādes un uzturēšanas projektiem;
- definēt un vadīt API arhitektūru, koncentrējoties uz drošību, atbilstību normatīvajiem aktiem un uzticamu integrāciju ar iekšējām un ārējām finanšu sistēmām;
- nodrošināt augstas kvalitātes, mērogojama un uzturējama koda piegādi, kas atbilst kodēšanas standartiem;
- vadīt jaunas izstrādes iniciatīvas, vienlaikus uzturot un uzlabojot esošās sistēmas;
- veicināt inženierijas labākās prakses ieviešanu un nepārtrauktu uzlabošanu;
- optimizēt un automatizēt DevOps procesus;
- apmācīt un sniegt tehniskas vadlīnijas citiem komandas locekļiem;
- sadarboties ar iekšējām komandām un ārējiem partneriem visā izstrādes dzīves ciklā;
- piedalīties dežūras pienākumos, atbildot par tūlītēju reaģēšanu uz kritiskiem ražošanas incidentiem un to risināšanu noteiktajos periodos;
- optimizēt DevOps procesus, uzlabojot izstrādes, testēšanas un ieviešanas ciklus.
- Lead development of critical back-end components, ensuring high reliability, security, and performance in a regulated environment for new development and maintenance projects
- Define and drive API architecture with a focus on security, regulatory compliance, and reliable integration with internal and external financial systems
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code aligned with coding standards
- Lead new development initiatives while maintaining and enhancing existing systems
- Drive the adoption and continuous improvement of engineering best practices
- Optimize and automate DevOps processes
- Coach and provide technical guidance to other team members
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners across the development lifecycle
- Participate in on-call duties, with responsibility for promptly responding to and resolving critical production incidents during assigned periods
